At Connor Construction Ltd, we recently completed a stunning garden makeover in Hertfordshire. The project involved removing old, tired-looking paving, installing modern porcelain slabs, creating a raised patio and adding a stylish pergola.
Additionally, we replaced the lawn with high-grade artificial grass and refreshed the garden fencing with a sleek, modern finish. The result was a contemporary outdoor space designed for relaxation and minimal levels of upkeep.
Ground Preparation
The first step in this project was removing the outdated paving to make way for the new installation. Our team carefully excavated the existing materials and made sure the ground was prepared for the next stage. Adequate ground preparation is essential for achieving long-lasting and stable surfaces, preventing shifting or sinking over time.
Porcelain Garden Pavers

Artificial Grass Installation
Traditional grass lawns require regular upkeep, which can be time-consuming. To reduce maintenance for the homeowner, we levelled the ground and installed high-grade artificial grass. This option achieves a lush, green appearance all year round without the need for watering, mowing,or fertilising.
Garden Fencing
The final touch in this garden makeover was the fencing. We treated the existing fence panels with a sleek, modern grey colour scheme.
